How do you think TFD's gameplay could be improved?
Hello Descendants

Playing as Serena you can see from above how the mobs behave, where they spawn, the pattern is predictable and repetitive, regardless of the faction, they all behave the same; they lock on a random player and run in line towards that player, making them easy to kill.

I think the developers need to change how each faction behaves, add some strategy to the mobs and give unique mechanics to each faction, because the only difference right now is the damage type they do: fire, ice, poison and electric.

Spawning locations are the same so it's easy to move to the spawning location before the enemy spawns, making it too easy, repetitive and after a while, boring.

Been playing the game since preseason and I'm excited to see what the new update brings, but the demo left me underwhelmed, it just felt more of the same on a different map, new mobs behaved the same as the others.

However I know the developers listen to the community so I'm hopeful for TFD's future.

Agree or disagree? How do you think gameplay can be improved?

See you in Albion, Descendants.

If only they pay attention on the most used characters and why people use them, a new world of improvements would be open for us.
At this point TFD is like Serious Sam meets warframe, everything looks like a horde mode shooter where AOE characters can easily score kills since enemies keep moving in packs close to eachother and I barely see guns in the game dealing with them as fast as powers.

There's serious balancing issues, but devs have acknowledged that and promised to bring every Descendant to the level of Freyna and Ines, hopefully we'll see some improvements in the new update.

I really really hope so, I would just love turrets and most skills be useful at clearing those groups, it would be fun for everyone.

Maybe less hallways and tunnels. Maybe less AoE range and spreads. Give everyone a chance to do something in missions apart from the few golden girls that rush ahead and dominate with single skill spam. mods like veterans tactics and huge cooldown reductions don't help anything either just sayin

could also be good to add enemy immunity to skills so guns are useful. random elites peppered in that can reflect skill damage lol people would be so mad

if every descendant is as strong and fast as bunny/freyna/ines then the problem isn't solved. it's just a race to play the game in a mission at that point. they need to redesign the mission levels to have branching paths and more cooperation if you are in a party. everything is so linear and on-rails with zero challenge

Yeah I agree with you, I mean, most are against any kind of nerfs so I'd make everyone way more effective as they are right now, I think trash enemies should die quickly but elites should definitely make you pay attention to them. It kinda makes me reminisce about the default experience leveling a new descendant if they don't rely on AOE attacks like sharen.

Well another option is to add endless survival modes like warframe has, where the enemies ramp up over time in stats, resists, and modified effects such as reflects or suppression until you eventually die or choose to evacuate the mission in some exit area whenever you're overwhelmed. if you leave safely you keep all your rewards and if you die you keep none or some percentage idk

the aoe spam characters would fall off eventually and become more of a supplemental damage for other descendants using guns. Usually the weapon-based characters shine in the harder contents anyway because of elemental resists, def, and hp scaling and whatnot. Support frames could be useful for ammo replenishment or heals/buffs etc. instead of always playing the afk game and being unappreciated

I would LOVE to see those!!
first time u play games? literally every single game, has scripted mobs spawn locations with rare variations via RNG. every single game has balance issues, every single game s content is mostly easy because people want to have fun in games.
if you want challenge and unpredictability go play pvp games vs real humans.
play void erosions solo.
play challenge content for challenge duh.. obviously..
easy content is for people that want easy.
if you want challenge then dont play serena.
you play the easiest most overpowered of the month and complain game is too easy.
play the game. dont abuse the game.
How long have you got? hahaah! seriously I could write an essay on how to improve the game but they won't see it or care even if they do. And all my previous attempts to contribute just got fanboys itchy and saying I am " doom posting " which I don't even know really what that is but is sounds bad.

There's no such thing as 'reflect or suppression' in it. And no steel path isn't hard as lazy 'my little ponies' make it out to be. Just use Octavia if you didn't grind any rivens or good stuff. Warframes' abilities can be done through walls and objects so that will help.
I think they first need to somehow change or ignore some of the playerbase and I'm not talking about the people that like the fan service, since I don't have anything against them, I'm talking about the people unable to match shapes and colors, unable to read the information presented on the screen, unable to figure out simple mechanics, unable to avoid damage using the mobility options the games has like dodging, grappling hook, jumping, moving left or right, etc.

Because all of these people are the ones that complain, and complain a lot, as soon as anything slightly more difficult is added to the game so not sure how the devs are going to be able to add any kind of difficulty to the game that involves even slightly more complex mechanics, mobs with better aim, mobs with better mobility or anything that requires player coordination, in summary, anything that would make the game have a "normal" difficulty" as long as they keep listening/worrying about this portion of the playerbase.
i spent 700 ingame hours for the first descendant to test multiple different builds for all modes and multiple characters. and i consider myself new compared to the tens of thousands of hours i wasted in previous mmorpgs to test builds there too.

not everybody wants to spend so many hours
not everyone can spend so many hours
to be able to do anything more challenging than what some call "dumbed down gameplay"

the first descendant is 100% free gameplay
no paid expansions as paywalls.
the game survives strictly from very very high quality cosmetics
and the cosmetics are gorgeous

forcing TFD devs to make everything more difficult or make all content slower, longer
automatically forces all players to waste more time and effort for same rewards

the guy in the wheelchair will spend 300 euros in TFD cosmetics
the colorblind guy will spend another 100 euros in TFD cosmetics
the guy that works 12 hours and has only 1 hour to relax watching his sexy char in TFD
thats the playerbase that will spend money

not the guy that goes to gym and nightclub every night

for challenge we go to void erosion purge
we go to challenge content.
we solo private content to challenge ourselves

we dont go to sigma sector for challenge
we dont go to to public matchmaking and get carried by max gear players

try to solo void erosion max lvl
start with that
improve? well, what they did wrong was;
nerf innes, because now ULT bunny has super speed and can one shot most of the mobs in 400%.

(i liked PRE nerf innes, because i can solo most of the 400%, and not rely on groups to help me kill the mobs and boss's. now i gotta play "reserved" and planned out.)

nerf the Intercept boss's, because people cant think or to learn the mechanics, even when people already POSTED on HOW TO BEAT the boss's. which provides CONTENT for TFD. (frost walker was a understandable nerf, but hanged man and Dead Bride and the fire tortoise looking mech? nah)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
they CAN improve the body collision you receive in CO-OP. because running into people in tunnels or small spaces with grapple, and having it canceled, is stupid.
they CAN improve WHERE you can farm the stupid daily items (like going to Kingston and get Shards from boxes), instead of going into library and searching it.
they can IMPROVE, when getting revived after downed, you get a half a second second of invincible frames, so you dont instantly get DOWNED again, if there's a strong attack from the enemy/boss.
they can IMPROVE the dodge, so it can ACTUALLY be useful, and not some animation people use to advance faster.
they can IMPROVE the grapple, so instead of PUNCHING the broken parts, they can actually SHOOT it off, while grappling. and imagine using the grapple to shoot a enemy/boss you grappled, and youd do some kind of animations that does dmg, thatd be something cool to do.
im sure people have already suggested things to the devs on the official support.
(because i remember asking or suggesting, if we can change the DEFAULT spawn area, when loading into then game, such as the lower part of Albion next to the module guy and armory, and what do you know, you can)
Combat is essentially a point and click game. Click enemy they die. The game needs more game modes with scaling difficulty so we can actually make use of our overpowered builds. I'd like to see an endless survival mode like Warframe has. The other thing that makes combat feel awful is how monster packs spawn AFTER you arrive. It ruins the flow/pacing when you instantly delete a spawn then run to next area and wait for them to spawn in. They should be spawning BEFORE we arrive.
