Have you tried using an actual DPS weapon on the boss instead of relying on Iness skills because a lot of times they arent really that great against single bosses.
usually takes 3-4 shots of her 3rd skill to kill vep10 boss
just take cover behind something because it can shoot through walls
Consider fully upgrading your secret garden unique ability since that ability is the reason people use it with descendants that have tech skills.
I just tried VEP lvl 9 with Ines hunting hounds build, you can kill that boss with just 1 shot of her 3rd ability, the first time is easy because you already know where the boss will spawn so you only need to time your pre cast correctly. For the second phase after enrage you can try your luck using skill 3 or just run in circles avoiding damage and casting skills 1 and 2, doing that should kill it in 10-15s.
That boss enrage phase requires a DPS weapon because he becomes fully inmune to skill damage during that phase. In my case, I used excava because vulgus in VEP lvl 9 are weak to electric damage, its one of the weapons on the reactor I have with Ines and I also have it fully upgraded but you can use any of the good DPS weapons you have for this part.
If you are playing solo and having trouble avoiding damage and surviving while using slayer set then try to run some other external components that give more HP. One option is to run ascending armor auxiliary power and sensor, and plague memory and processor. This should give you around 32K HP and a reduced skill cost of around 21% at the sacrifice of around 20% less damage.
With slayer you get around 18K HP so while you are running these other components and anything hits you leaving you with 14K HP or less it means that you would have died while using slayer set. You can change back to slayer set once you are familiar with the enemy patterns and are able to avoid most or all of their damage. When playing in a group the aggro is split 4 ways so the disadvange of less HP from slayer set is less of an issue or harder to notice.
One last note, fully upgraded complete build means everything from descendant catalysts, energy activator, arche tunning, reactor; ultimate weapons unique ability, catalysts, energy activator, cores; and external components with the right stats and cores. Because not having one of those things may seem trivial sometimes but its usualy what makes the difference between doing a lot more DPS or surviving.
Yes I use time of the hunting hounds transcendent mod for her. You should be at full resource during the whole level, it builds easy, just use your 4th skill at the right time and it should fill your resource bar. When you reach the boss you should also be with a full resource bar and first precast a skill 4th to kill the mobs, fill your resource bar in case is not full, and give conductor to the boss while you charge your skill 3.
You want to be in the ballpark of 10+k HP and around 40k in DEF. That should allow you to tank a few hits before dying. Avoid using the Bravery set on Ines for the Purge build, as that turns you into a glass cannon - yes, useful for reducing cooldown but you'll have like 4k-5.2k HP only.
If you have her, I recommend using Gley though. She's simple enough to get and so chill to play purge with, no problem at all. You build out a Cold-element Restored Relic and focus on her 3rd ability build, so ... just cooldown and duration until you hit 9.7s and 9.8s respectively.
She'll also sit at about 40k HP and 40k DEF, tanking quite a few hits in comparison to Ines.
If you can, of course, Serena. She just wipes the map like it's nobody's business.
If you want, later when I get off from work I can post the exact build I used for that VEP level 9 I mentioned before. Both with the slayer set that I use regularly and also the altenative version with more HP I mentioned.
