I don't even recommend running the game First Descendant, the developer of First Descendant hasn't done anything or fixed it in a year. The game First Descendant was a piece of stupid ♥♥♥♥, and it remains that way.

Not dead yet. Hopefully the next big update will bring back some players.

Come and try. Like it? Play. Don't? Don't. Worth to try. In 2018 I've tried some random free game and I've spent 700 hours in it.

Near dead and the future is extremely bleak

Yeah ignore the naysayers, this game is very active but ... there's a lot of this negativity and kids who don't know any better just jump onto the bandtrain, you know what I mean? They just want to "feel included" and just say the same thing as someone on the internet yells.

It's extremely fun, you can go from completely helpless to a power fantasy build. Drop chances are better than ever, we got Doggos now that auto-dismantle and pick up items. Bosses got nerfed, descendants buffed, you can tweak them now more than ever before (even weapons are stat sticks), season 3 looks like a lot of fun.

Definitely worth playing 100%, if you stay away from Reddit and this discussion section. Oh, and don't ever look at world chat. Join a streamer or content creator's community, best place to be imo.

how does one come up with the assumption of a dead game when even the forums first page is less then 6 hours old at any given time. technically its a fully active game with plenty of updates regularly and new content on the very near horizon. you would have noticed this if you genuinely had that question and did any cursory reading. my question is are you technically brain damaged or was there other intentions in your question?

Some will say its dead some will say its doing great , on pc it looks mostly abandoned acording to player number but its also a crossplay game and theres no way to know how many still play the game from console side so my advice is

It's free so try it out, if you don't like it then it'll cost you nothing so there's nothing wrong with trying it out.
