if you are getting crashes but with no errors just a desktop crash it's most likey the audio driver.

If you use the Nvidia app to update your drivers there has been a known issue that if you use the express option it would not update the sound driver, so games will crash and it would not update because it would assume the driver is up to date when it is not. Also the app itself would bug out sometimes when updating the app.

Uninstall the latest driver update then uninstall the app. restart pc.

install the app again and download the driver update, this time choose the custom option and make sure all 3 options are checked and continue the update and restart when finished as normal.

it should now update the all 3 or just the sound and graphic drivers if physx is up to date.

i was having issues with all games until i found out why a while ago.

might not help everyone but alot of updates people think are unstable is because the audio driver would incorrectly not update and incorrectly labeled up to date.

I bring this up because i was crashing on all my games, not just TFD.
