Honestly, it's a great feeling when you get a low-percentage item when you're aiming for a high-percentage item! If you don't already have them, it's way better to get them by accident than when you're actually aiming for said low-percentage item and then not getting them.

yes but only when you are new and just started playing

Quite normal , I got full set Sharen ultimate chasing 32% drops

Try getting Catalysts when you have everything else already!
The constant Ultimate parts drops can get really annoying

Are you using boosters to get the drop? Usually it’s WAY faster.

While (Advanced) Shape Stabilizers are normally helpful for AM drop rates, the 20% chance drops on Hard Mode AMs in particular cannot be improved with stabilizers. (Normal Mode AMs' 15% chance drop equivalents, on the other hand, can at least be boosted to 20% with standard Shape Stabilizers.)

It is like random numbers are random or something.

Hang in there, we've all been there.

Factoring loading/spawn/boss clear time, that takes about 15-20secs a run.

Are you able to target farm the piece? (as in go through the library, select it so that you'll eventually get the pity system with a guaranteed drop if it doesn't drop after a certain number of runs?)

Well... 20% is still alot, it can proc wrong, but we need just 1 proc. 20% is ALOT in that way. Remember the sunwell... I mean remember the older grind.
