Same here, keep kicking me out to the start screen.
remember 200k players pre-registered, this indie studio is not used to the massive influx of players

Got the dreaded connection lost screen, not good. After my first two attempts failed to go through I was able to run the first mission but my God, the servers are overloaded, clearly lag fest central so I hope all of this will be fixed in the coming days.

3hr extended maintenance for what? were they just bs-ing?
An unexpected issue was identified during the server maintenance, and in order to provide a more stable service, the maintenance period has been inevitably extended

The game just shuts itself down after the title logo (the one with the O loading) after this update, even though people say maintenance is over :steamsad::MH_Death:

So they barely have enough server capacity to host 18K concurrent players on steam, and this after only meeting 20% of the 1Mil pre season sign ups. They expected 5 times as many people yet delivered this service.

These guys have no idea.

This basically confirms the game is in maintenance mode, that's why a brown field took 9 months to roll out this badly.

The streamers have tested this, it's all great! This is just another example why these companies need to stop letting people without a clue into game testing. Their noses are too brown.

Can you guess why? MAINTENANCE IS NOT COMPLETE. thats why...geezus

Because they are doing updates and the server is not going to be available to players

they probalbly reduced the amount of servers and game instances significantly from their peak as player counts were steadily going down over time, and for the past seasons they never peaked quite as high as they did now with 20k on steam and who knows on consoles. But you would expect that they would be prepared as 200k players registered
Why would they plan for a big increase in concurrent player count when the pre registration numbers just account for the numbers they had before or maybe even less than that?

On the other hand, even if the pre registration numbers only justify for like 8k players from steam plus whatever else they have on consoles, in all the other "big patches" they always had like 20k to 25k concurrent players just from steam so not sure why they did not planned for at least that.
NIER colab probably taken ALL THE MONEY even the QOL of the servers
The maintenance is still ongoing that's why the servers are unstable

In about two hours the maintenance will end and it should be fine

They just opened up the servers so we could play, but at our own risk
