We're talking of about 1.25% chance per item here, in missions meant for 4 players that don't see 4 players, because the map is too large for 4 players, meaning everyone does something different, if they're not crashing.
I don't want anything right now, but if I play 20 hours and I get nothing, I don't see the point in playing 20 more hours, just saying.
The percent increase per miss for some reason is not fixed, and is incredibly low for the vehicle blue prints. Especially bad after so many complaints of the ~5% drops on weapons.

I did not rushed to get the new things, at least not in an effective way. I'm just enjoying the new content, and I already have the Eraser with 2 levels, maxed Nell, and today I'll be getting both new hover bikes. Despite all the RNG over RNG. The only thing that I care about, and I missed to do it at the first hours, was to proper set the pity system to the boxes of the items I was looking for, and did some runs of the missions that drops it. What is something that changes every day.
Then using the pity target farming i got the last things I needed.
It worked really well, the only thing I would say is, that the % increase for the pity should be a bit higher per mission.
What? lol....If you target farm Vortex loot box, you only have 4 vortex pieces in it, if you target farm the arche lootbox, you only have the 4 nell pieces in it, if you do orca box, you only have the 4 orca pieces in it.
Where do you get the "rng box with 40 items in it" ?
Not to mention it feels like we went back to the terrible RNG that the launch had. Before the introduction of those tubes that flip the drop rates and the pity system when I had unbelievably terrible RNG trying to get descendants. Now it feels like we went back to that point in time.
All I've been doing is trying to get Nell parts from Axion and I've gotten the entire Orca (blue) hoverbike and 3+ extra parts. 3 parts of the Vortex (red) hoverbike and an extra part or two. And a couple of parts for the weapon with maybe a dupe or two but not a single Nell part. Bad RNG just sucks. I've even gotten all of Nell's modules with possibly dupes. Pity system gave me items I did not want so didn't help.
I will have Nell in just over a week though thanks to two things. The two Nell part boxes you get for doing 10 of those red teeth quests in Axion which luckily gave me two different Nell parts. And there are two Nell pick a part boxes you get for logging in. I have one but the other I can't get till Thursday of next week which will complete her. Without those four boxes I probably would've uninstalled. Nell is all I am interested in but I am done with these stupidly low drop rates and bad luck RNG.
But still, it's a pity system for a random box, not a pity system for a specific part. And also the pity moves by less than 1% sometimes. Possibly there was an issue on the first day because I feel like I haven't done more than 100 missions but I have gotten an arche box from the pity rewards.
It still only barely helps because it is still a random chance. Someone could get 50 arche boxes and still miss out on one of the nell parts.
Also, for the blueprint box, I might be wrong, but when you actually click on the reward to see what is inside, it lists basically every blueprint in the game, so it isn't just the new axion blueprints, you could get any old blueprint also. So getting your new stuff from the blueprint box is probably a bad choice.
As much as we shouldn't get everything instantly, they aren't pacing it out with this system, they are drawing it out unnecessarily to bait people into just buying whatever they are missing. It's leaning towards predatory rather than just marketing.
Being able to use the target "pity" system on multiple things from one source is helpful, but it always rewarding randomly rather than actually targeting defeats the purpose.
It is just another odd method they use among all their other features that are pointing towards a game that is about the publishers rather than about the players.
I think this is a bit short sighted. You can target farm an amorphs and eventually stack them up pretty quickly. These then have a fair chance at getting one of 5 items, each % varying. But its only in a pool of five.
They put two vehicle parts plus gun plus nell into one pack, so when youre trying to get nell its now something like 6.25% across the board in that arche box.
They are pushing us toward swiping for characters. As if making 'barely there' skin packs for a looter shooter wasn't horrible enough.
