Demo Feedback
Heyo. I tried the demo and confirmed that I'm a bit of a scrub and probably not the target audience. That said A) Thank you for actually HAVING a demo, and B) I'd strongly recommend having a a gameplay setting for skipping/dramatically speeding up death animations and/or telling the player about them much sooner (if you tell them us anywhere).

Maybe I'm an idiot but I kept hitting Enter to try and skip them (because Enter is what I was using to interact with menu items normally) and for some reason it never even occurred to me to try the A button. I honestly came to the forums to complain offer feedback and found someone else had already described how in the discussions here. It was hands down the most jarring element in the game for me, drastically knocking me out of any sort of "flow" state I might be starting to enter. A good case study of this being done "right" is arguably Awaria, which honestly kicked my ass repeatedly but has such vanishingly short death screens that it kept me playing long past the point I would've normally if I wasn't immediately being put right back in the action to try again without really even being asked if I wanted to.

I'm a huge fan of devs actually trying new things and creating games that are filled with passion and art so I'd love for Vividlope to achieve all the success it can, and I think that keeping those life loss screens short (or non-existent) so players can keep barreling along at the game instead will probably have a huge impact. they're in the full game, but sadly the demo is based on an older build that doesn't have them

Oh? That's really neat to hear, as that was honestly one of my biggest turnoffs, thanks for letting me know. Might be worth updating the demo depending on how much it makes other people bounce off of it too.

The demo just got a recent update and it seems to actually have a Retry button, along with certain aspects like V Ranks and a shield you received from filling the power meter which used to be exclusive from the full version. It looks like the developer have just addressed your concern few days after you made this post.

Also: Thanks for telling me about "Awaria" because the game looks very fun, cute, charming, and challenging like Vividlope.
