This game has horrible design compared to Kotor 1 and other RPG's of this style
Any party based RPG that splits apart your party and forces them into unwinnable situations is just horrible design.

Here I am with whats his face, the rogue/sniper guy, on Nar Shadaa. The game forces your party apart, and it puts the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rogue up against two dual wielding melee tanks. So what the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to do? I've spent the entire game levelling this guy up to be a ranged sniper type person, and then the game completely ♥♥♥♥♥ you, splits your party, and forces you into a completely unwinnable situation.

Whats the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point in building a balanced party? ZERO. You have to make every single party member a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ melee tank because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest design like this.

Thanks Obsidian. Thanks for reminding me why the ♥♥♥♥ KOTOR 1 is vastly superior.

There are ways to beat them. It takes strategy.

I admit it's not easy, and you will fail several times, but coming from a terrible gamer like myself, it can be done.

Use grenades, or git gud.

I do nar shadaa first every time, and atton is a Jedi by that mission, so he just mops the floor with those two.

Huh? Atton is anything but a melee tank. I make him into a high dex Sentinel Jedi, so he's a mix between fighter and caster.

Make sure you get things like weapon finesse to take advantage of his dex, or close combat fighting with blasters, use grenades and mines if you have to. You don't need to make anybody into anything, the game is easy af.

Completely unwinnable? HLMAO. It can be won even if your Atton is still a scoundrel with bs gear. And if you level/gear him right, it's a piece of cake. Played through that part recently, my gunslinger Atton washed the floor with those two schuttas on hard, barely lost any health.

I dunno whether it's funny or sad. First, your initial "point" was that the game puts you into "unwinnable" situations (which is bs as the only unwinnable scenario in game is trying to kill Vrook before getting prestige class and good gear), which also contradicts you saying about "have to build all into melee tanks". Second, where do you see "only a melee tank..." in the post you quoted?

I have played this game through dozens of times. OP - your claims are total rubbish. I play the whole thing on "difficult" and only feel even remotely challenged at 3 or 4 points in the whole game.

As for Atton against the Twin Suns, try a bit of lateral thinking. Where can he go in the bar that they can't reach him but he can shoot them down? Behind the bar. Simple. That wasn't hard, now was it?

As for forcing you to break up your party, maybe other RPG's would be a better challenge and more interesting if they made you do more of this!

ya sorry to say but stop whining and start winning as you can be anything you want with enough effort.

Plenty I included, beat this as a shooter character and everything else ... Just a bit harder and at times need to use more items especially compared to 1, but that not a bad/good thing just difficulty...

This section can be really hard if you’re like me and don’t know how to build properly and also don’t care enough about Atton to make him a Jedi. But if you play it right it’s not bad.

Atton doesn't need to be a jedi honestly.. he can very easily excel as a shooter though it is better from what I recall to just use sword in that particular fight (least if you rush it 1st).

Games been out for years and people have never had a problem with it lmao Seems to be more of a case of you needing to learn how to play the game lol I did this mission earlier and got through it just fine by baiting them and fighting them one at a time. It really isn't that hard. Maybe play another game bud xD

I disagree with a lot of what you're saying but Nar Shadaa really sucks a big one if you're unprepared for it. And there's just a sequence of back to back fights with very little dialog that goes on for a huge stretch of the planet. Also for some reason they absolutely just loved splitting your party up in this section but not in any of the others that I can remember.

Dxun there's the part where you make 2 parties, one on onderon and one on dxun. But that one is cool as hell, usually I leave this for last so I have 2 super awesome teams.
