How does T3 open the door with Mines on Peragus...
...on Difficult mode? How do you get your skill check high enough at that point on Difficult to blow open the door without destroying the loot on the other side?

You either need enough points in demolitions, or more likely, just lower the difficulty to lower the skill check. That wont decrease the exp you receive or anything else.

The highest level I can get at that point is 3. I want to do it without lowering the difficulty because I feel like that's a cop out.
Dont think you can do it then

There's no possible way to squeeze out a higher DC for T3?

Seems a really dumb oversight to make something impossible just because of your difficulty setting.

Only thing I can think of is upgrade intelligence because I think that gives a couple bonus points to demolitions (tho probably not much that early in the game... i actually dont know if you can level up t3 that much), get caution (should be at level up), and then max out your demolitions.

If we're talking about oversight -- there are plenty of other things that the developers were worried about rather than a simple fix like this. Theres a reason why this game needs heavy modding to get the full storyline.

Otherwise, just lower the difficulty. By the way, if you're looking to min/max the playthrough like this, ur going to find it exceedingly difficult, especially as a first time player to get literally every story line and every footlocker revealed...

I've spent probably over a thousand hours on this, and I still havent found a way to min max everything.

might have to destroy the loot on the other side.

its first area loot, in the long run its not important.

That's not what you guys are supposed to say. You're SUPPOSED to say "Oh, yeah that was pretty tough figuring out how to do it on Difficult, but it's possible to do it if you-" Then you spill the beans on everything.
No oversight, if you put the difficulty high, you don't get the loot on the other side.

Oh well, thank you anyway.

Kinda makes me think that, even if KOTOR2 has a far better story, KOTOR1 was a better polished game.
Again. INTENDED BEHAVIOR.
Peragus was pretty polished. It has not suffered like Malachor has.

I thought Malachor 5 was the best part of the game. There was nothing there that didn't need to me and no crippling bugs in the original game like Peragus and Telos had.

Well that's how difficulty settings generally work, your rewards are typically reduced compared to easier difficulties, this is one of those cases.
no your rewards arent reduced. You get the same rewards in an easy playthrough as a hard playthrough, its just that in the hard playthrough, enemies hit harder and difficulty checks are higher. The loot remains the same.

Just switch to easy, unlock it, and then switch back to hard. Or ignore it. Regardless, I think it is impossible to get absolutely every outcome in this game even if you try your best at min maxing.
Yes, your rewards ARE reduced since you cannot open that door with the loot intact.
