Modding and script

Can someone point me in the right direction to start learning about modding these games? Whether it be scripting, making new models/textures, or even just upping resolutions.

Have always wanted to learn but don't know where to start, thank you.

Deadlystream would be the place to start looking/asking. That's where the modding community went after KotORfiles and Lucasforums went down. They should have links to archived tutorials if you ask around on their forums.

yeah I am talking about creating mods etc I know how to download them

Even so, that Deadly Stream maybe a good place to find info / help with modding. It's the most recent place modders (for this game) have been active in... that I know of. There is a forum on that site also... which is where I'm referring to.
