Nope, just the main quests, though I would encourage you to try to complete every quest as it makes the game generally more enjoyable.

I am completely stuck then. I fought sion on korriban and now i have no idea where to go. I watched a walktrhough and they had a cutscene with everyone huddled up before entering korriban. I did not. I finished the onderon civil war stuff though.

I see from your other post youve completed all the planets, right? So you have Onderon, Korriban, Nar Shaddaa, and Dantooine, completed right?

This means that you either sided with the mercenaries or with the settlers on Dantooine and talked with Vrook, fought and escaped Sion on Korriban, destroyed Gotos ship on Nar Shaddaa and met Zez Kai Ell, and fought off Vaklu/Queen and met with Kavar on Onderon, right?

If so, then your next option is to talk with Kreia.

of course not, as in any RPG. side missions are for extending your play if you find the game to your taste. In this case the end is near. The game is pretty short.
