KOTOR 2 Stuttering on High End pc.

Hey guys. I am experiancing stuttering after my first time loading up the game. Meaning, once i clean install the game, play, save, exit, and start it up again, i get stuttering. The FIRST time i start it up, it plays clean no fps drops or stutters at all
I have tried all the fixes known and will list them here what i have tried

-playing windowed
-DisableVertexBufferObjects=1 and set too 0 just to try
-steam legacypc beta fix
-disabled force speed effect ( i always play with this off, force speed looks like crap)
-disabled frame buffer effects
-disabled softshadows
-reinstalling
- vsync off (edit** tried this recently did not fix)
This stutter happens at any point in the game, on any planet, it is not restricted to Peragus which is known for stutter and lag
Currently, reinstalling is the only temp fix, but as i said, once i load SWKOTOR 2 again at a later time, the stutter comes back and reinstalling the game everytime i want to play is getting annoying lol.

Any help would be great.

Have you tried turning off V-sync? Ofc you’d have to find another method to limit the FPS, to avoid freezing

I tried this just now, and it did not help. i have fps limiter (Thanks though DJ), also tried using vsync through Nvidia control panel while ingame vsync off, same result

You could try running it in compatibility mode. Are you using integrated graphics less then the store page’s listed minimum (after the new update some older integrated graphics have trouble with it)? You could also try using the legacyPC beta, but if you want to use mods you would have install them the old fashioned way, as workshop mods won’t work with it

Which compatibility mode would you reccomend? I am using a nvida 1050ti currently. I have tried the Legacypcbeta already and to no avail.

Try XP service pack 2 and/or 3, also try Vista if that doesn’t work

So tried those, and nothing really helped, Service pack 3 was ok for some time, but still same result. I did try turning off the steam overlay and it seems to make it beter. But it is still lagging when i turn suddenly, or from visuals of smoke (grenades, poison gas, frame buffer effect off does not help this) I know Disable vertex buffet is supposed to help that but it just crashes my game for some reason when i enable it.
