Black Screen.

So... Erm... Everytime I try to run the game I get this black screen that I can't close...
Think the game actually crashes and it closes or dunno because... I can see my mouse hovering around text in steam or similar things.

I have like 1GB RAM. Tried closing all the programs except steam...
And I have DirectX 9c

Not sure what the problem is or what to do ;u;

I get this error after I put the comp to sleep and wake it up after that
"AppName: colourbind.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: colourbind.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0005f696"

Hi Whisper,

Sorry for my terrible response time on this - not sure how I missed the first time, but it's brought to my attention now so let's see if we can figure out what's going on.

One thing that is worth trying is, opening up config.txt (its location depends on where you have Steam installed, but it will be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\colourbind\config.txt) and change the second line from 'fullscreen' to 'windowed'. The game defaults to fullscreen mode, and although I haven't seen it cause problems since earlier in development, it's theoretically a bit less stable that way. Once you've saved that change, run the game again - if that hasn't fixed it, it should at least allow you to see the console window - if you're still having problems, could you let me know what it says there?

I still get that error
"ColourBind.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."
and when i click to see the error
"AppName: colourbind.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000"
but at least the game is windowed now my screen doesn't go all black.

Could you let me know roughly what system you're running? There are a couple of people who have had this issue and it's starting to look like it might be particular bits of hardware that the game isn't coping with. :/
