I recently bought RCR, now that I finally have time to play it I cannot get it to work.

When launching from steam I see a black box appear where it seems the game has started to load. This black box then expands to full screen, and Windows gives the "RCR has stopped working" message box.

When attempting to start the game via the .exe in the Steam folder I get the following error.

"Steam must be running to play this game (SteamAPI_Init() failed)" . Steam indeed is running when this error is shown.

I have already re-installed the game, re-verified the game cache several times, and multiple system restarts.

OS: Windows 10

Does anyone have any ideas? Or can someone from the game company offer some help?
