Just need a little help with BMP

Is there something I'm missing? Closest I got a custom image to work is when my character would look fine until it faced the other direction. Is there a new way to edit the images that I don't know of?

I preferred using the external program GIMP for editing the various bmps. It's a free image-editing program similar to photoshop, avalable online.

I hope you know how the transparency and palette works though. There should be a palette avalable somewhere in the wiki, but i know duh102 has tutorials for gimp and photoshop on the datarealms fan forums.

Cortex command uses a special pallette with select file formatting, personally I use gimp, but you can use any program that supports indexed pallettes
