Quit hating and trolling.
That is your opinion, I like most of the changes.
Provide constructive criticism and people will take you more seriously.
Interesting, in another thread addressing recoil and spread patterns, you said...
"The OP and I aren't saying the spread pattern was random - we're saying the opposite, which agrees with you. The fact that it COULD be used to advantage is exactly the behaviour we believe is a bad thing for the game. It is not skill, it is memorisation and bypassing the purpose of spread."
So I have to ask, since the previous patterns before Parity were not random and could be relatively easily memorized and used as an advantage that you believe is/was a bad thing for the game...how is/was BLR a skillful shooter?
I'm not a huge fan of the present lack of recoil/spread in the game, but I understand that it's a work in progress and will improve in time. Lord ALF said for us to play with this for awhile, and provide constructive feedback, for them to be able to adjust the mechanics as we go through patches.
I fail to see how someone merely stating their opinion of " just saying the truth, all current changes in BLR in parity have been garbage and casualising" is the least bit constructive or helpful at all.
-increase recoil amount of nearly all guns
-re add stamina as this makes fattie build almost superior to speed builds
-add spread back in a pattern form or something similiar to add a uniquness to all guns
-fix massive new gfx unoptimization causing massive stuttering
-fix steam wallet
-fix crashing issues
- I've come to enjoy the game more without the stamina system. My speed build with an SMG can run circles around the fatties, and I can maneuver easily from one end of the map to the other in CTF.
- I don't see any problem with the graphics or crashing on my machine, but I'll admit I did not build an average mainstream pc.
- Steam wallet integration definitely needs to be fixed, it's an annoyance dealing with the ARC system. I wouldn't play the game on Steam, if I wanted to go through PWE's website...I'd play the ARC version.
I think there's something else those of us who have played for years need to remember as well. Less than 3% of us previously spent any real world money on this game. BLR is evolving, there's the new generation of gamers who love the COD style mechanics and cosmetic items that have no affect on game play, and they're willing to sped money to get to play that way.
Are the veterans really going to spend much more money on this game? A fair number of us have most of the content in the game, save for some skins and camos n such. We can get most everything else permed for free now, with free GP we earn.
I'll admit, I'm less likely to spend anymore money on the game, unless the proposed BLR Editor is a map editor that allows us to utilize community created content and run custom servers. That I'd pay for.
Incorrect. The game runs native in DX9. There is an option in the settings to enable DX11 if you so wish. The game itself was highly optimized and brought up to date with the latest UE3 engine changes. Past that we did increase res on a number of textures and also did an optimization pass on all the levels.
1. All weapons will continue to be balanced as per our testing and community feedback. As stated throughout these and the official forums.
2. stamina is not coming back
3. See #1 above.
4. Answered this in first paragraph
5. This is an Arc issue; which they hopefully have fixed soon
6. If you are having crash issues then you need to report it either in the official forums or the support site: www.hardsuitlabs.com/support
