You can still play BLR, although most people only play on the weekend events. If interested in playing it again, join the BLRevive Discord mentioned in my profile page.
As far as other games, I would highly recommend Out Of Action when it comes out. I've backed it since the beginning, have access to the pre-alpha and can say it's amazing. At the moment there's no way for new players to try it, but there's supposed to be another public demo coming up at some point.

I will try BLRevive as soon as possible and I tried Out Of Action in its preliminary tests and it was really successful.
