Come to think of it, I'll try checking for updates and see that changes anything.
While doing some sniffing around yesterday, I figured out that it's related to certain .dll files, but it went nowhere. Even after deleting and getting new ones of some of the suspicious .dll files (like Xinput9_1_0.dll), I kept getting the same error.
Well, it's not a huge deal. I'll just keep the game in my wishlist (or buy it) and play it later on if I change to a mainstream Windows 10 (or hell, maybe 11) version someday. It's not the end of the world, after all.
Unfortunately I'm not in a position to test those versions. But the game should work on consumer and mainstream versions of windows 10 and 11.
No worries. I'll probably change my OS at some point to avoid similar situations in the future, once I stop being lazy. Thanks for your time, boss. The game looks very interesting, by the way. I hope you sell a lot of copies!
