Can't load my save game
i was doing the edge of the world achievement, my game crashed like 3x atleast, maybe more then 3x when i was on my way to the edge of the world.I reached the edge then my game crashed again...Now if i press continue my game then the preload loading screen stops at 75% and i can't enter my world

Hi Goodboy,

Firstly can you check your free disk space to make sure you haven't run out.

There is an option to repair the map on the screen before loading it in ( map integrity check ). Can you try that and see what happens. If you have a power cut or terminate the application you can cause problems that can cascade days later.

Also, Are you using the teleport network? or are you on foot ?

Further research on the numbers above indicate that your map file is just over 2 gig. This isn't a problem for windows 10 and ntfs format drives. I have game saves over 8 gig. However if your not on windows 10,11 this may be an issue. You can check your drives file system my right clicking the C: drive and choosing properties.

i did map integrity check, it not helped, still can't load my map.
i have it installed to D: drive with over 100GB free space
i have windows 10
i was running on foot to the world edge, i have only 1 teleport activated

since 6 min and im still in preload loading screen :/ tried again integrity check.
Well RIP my level 904 character and 20 hours playtime :(

Hi Goodboy,

Okay, I would very much appreciate being able to get my hands on your save game, I can then diagnose the issue and resolve. To that end I would like to send you a friend request so that we can better organise this privately, Are you okay with that.

My preference would be for you to copy the save game to mediafire, and then let me have the link. Mediafire doesn't require any credentials and is easy to use in browser, no apps required.

I have also made some tweaks to the title screen that check disk space and drive format and show a red warning if they are an issue. If you could load the game just to the title screen and confirm its all okay.

okay, this update should fix the problem, you may have to exit out of steam and go back in. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your map file just some really bad programming from me. The game was waiting for at least 80% of the visible map to load before presenting the game, However when your at the edge of the map you can never go over 50% so it just sat doing nothing.
I do think at one point you have a map issue which the game fixed but because your on the edge of the map it just cascaded into another fault.
