Layering/Selection Difficulties
I consistently had issues trying to select diners to be able to take their order. Especially at the back left table. You have to mouse very carefully to just the right outer edge of their body to be able to select them. Otherwise, it continuously tries to select pieces of the surrounding furniture. It feels like those pieces should be harder to select than the diners.

I had a similar problem with a pile-up in reception one round with guests trying to check out. I had two players (different races) essentially on top of one another and since you have to check them out in order, it took me a while to figure out that there was a smaller figure in there that needed to be selected very carefully and checked out. I suggest you don't force a check-out order and/or be aware of spacing/layering of guests, not allowing them to overlap.

One final suggestion: when in dialog boxes, it would be helpful if the Esc key closed the dialog box. That's a common game mechanic that isn't being used here and I found the first couple of times that I wasn't always seeing the check box at the bottom that needed to be clicked. The same goes for other pop-up/over screens. Esc as a default to exit the screen in addition to clicking the correct button would be helpful.

This is one of the demo's biggest problems. The layering of the guests while dining need to put click priority on the guest. The game needs to assume that if a guest is seated, and has an order request, then the hitbox for guest selection needs to be bigger than the small area where the guest is sitting.

A big help to this problem would be if the Devs changed it so that we can click on the chatbubble for interaction. I often get a glitch where the guest is floating off to the side of the chair or above it, but the hitbox to select the guest is not the 3D model of the guest itself but where the game thinks the guest is, so in the chair. You know have the guest highlighted when you see the dashed line that connects them to their room.

ESC dialog AGREED. Also, ESC interaction Circles as well. please...
