What is the last quest in the demo?
Hi all, I have tried 2 play-through and it seems I'm always stuck at the 'A Meal to Remember' where the quest said "to wait for guests to arrive".

It happens after I've harvested the berries.
The existing guests, Pingtons stayed in infinitely and never checkout.
New guests never arrive either since then.

I'm not sure if I glitched the game, or that is the end of the demo.

No, there is definitely more. A new Species of guest will arrive, and you will learn what those ingredients are for. Then you go thru a whole chain of events with them from check-in to check-out. Then the demo ends. Its a preparation on game progression, where one game mechanic is that the guests get increasingly harder to please and take care of.

If your guests refuse to checkout... is there an airship stuck at port? I've seen airships get stuck, when a guest is stuck. A guest can get stuck when the airship arrives, and they abruptly get ripped through a wall, trapping them. When this happened to me, 2/3 checked out, where one room showed a guest was still occupying it, but it had the suitcase icon. The dashed line from the room pointed to where his glitched out body was..behind the hotel. I couldn't do anything about it, and it randomly resolved somehow. The airship didn't leave until he checked out.

What I would recommend doing on another playthru is move the dining tables away from the walls. Here's my glitch:

I had 4 tables setup in the dining room. The one guy sitting infront of the dragon, got ripped outside when the airship arrived.
Hey thanks for the reply!
I tried a quick play-through again for the 3rd time.

I tried rearranging the dining tables (the layering is quite bad so this suggestion helped with the ordering), but that's not the issue.

I suspect the glitch happened when I complete the harvests when the shipped is at dock. The quest is to wait for guests to arrive, but the guests ARRIVED and caused the glitch.

Coz I saw a pop up that says "Guests Arrived" although all the guests already checked in and the ship is docked at the port.

I'm not sure if my explanation is clear.

May I know if after you've harvested the fruits, that's when the new species should arrive?

Wow, that really is crazy that 3 times in a row and you get this glitch every time. There must be a specific thing happening where if your 3 different playthrus are similar enough, you keep managing to recreate this glitch.

I'll try and see if I can have the same thing happen. I'll see what I notice when I get to stages of the berry harvesting. Maybe there's something you're not completing..?

"Guests Arrived" can be for any guests btw. If you still don't have the prerequisites for the next species, more Pingtons will just keep arriving periodically.

That is true, only the next ship after completing the previous objectives will bring the new species, however with how it's set up depending on the specific timing of completing those objectives the ship may take longer to come or bug out. But I'm also curious what is the exact sequence of things happening in Ferdinand's playthroughs.

But yup, you need to harvest the fruits for the new guests to come.
Hi! Thanks for all the feedback.

I tried a 4th play-through and found out what's the problem.
It was indeed due to me progressing the quest to 'A Meal to Remember' when I have a ship docked at the port. Somehow it bugged out the game.

This time I hurried through the quests and made sure to finish the harvesting part and talked to Sparn before night time (since that's when the ship will arrive with the guests).
And I finally managed to see the Toravis!!

Though my UI bugged out and I couldn't finish the infuse meals quest...

Regardless I adore the game and can't wait for the full game to be ready soon!

Thanks, I had the same issue and it feels good to know why the guests never arrived. :)

Sadly moving the tables doesn't fix every possible location the guests get stuck. I just had 2 failed playthroughs were the guests glitched into the right field outside or the upstairs shower. So they never checkout (their stay duration even becomes negative), so the ship never leaves and the game mechanics break one by one.

Amazing looking game and looks promising, but currently just a buggy tech demo and not a playable first look.

Glad you finally got through it! I did 3 playthru's and couldnt get the ship to bugout. I recorded one and was trying to load it to youtube.

There are multiple ways the guests can get stuck unfortunately. The Dining room, was just one area I noticed. Haven't nailed down any exact other ways myself.
I have a similar issue when the Toravis arrive, the pingtons seem to vanish without the option to check them out but their icon is still present on their rooms. And I can't go back to my save as the "load game" option in the menu is greyed out and not clickable.
Ferdinand

I had the exact same problem and it froze right there as well what Ferdinand orginailly said. I already harvest my first crop and said to wait for the quest to check out. Ship is waiting for them on the dock but they can't get out of their rooms.
Hey, I described my problem in another post but it fits well here :). My guests are stuck on the sink and toilet. After a few attempts I noticed that it is a problem of "layers" objects have an access field and it often turns out that you can place 2 items so that one item loses all access fields and the game does not recognize it, which makes the guest stuck. The demo does not have the option of saving, so when an error occurs with the guest, further gameplay does not make sense and you have to start over. It would be useful to have some option to ask the guest out of the room, which would teleport him to the door (at least in the demo) to be able to continue the game and detect other shortcomings.
