Adding to point 4 about camera mechanics: Trying to place items in a room is wonky. I could not turn bathroom mirrors to hang on the side walls so had to move the sinks instead to match, and hanging plants are also an issue to tell exactly where they're going.
Really appreciate the kind words about the art, music, and general vibe. It’s awesome to hear that the hotel and world are drawing you in: that’s exactly the feeling we’re trying to build on.
A few thoughts on your points:
Task Board UI & Numbers
Good observation, and here’s the trick: the numbers you see in the boxes are actually the worker’s skill level in that category, while the color denotes the priority you’ve set. That way you can quickly see both (how good they are and how important the task is) without hovering over each box. That said, we know the UI isn’t as clear as it could be and we’re working on making that whole system more readable and responsive, especially with upcoming changes to worker AI, task grouping, and drag-and-drop behaviors (which will override the priority matrix so they handle nearby tasks and do what you want more).
Maklo and the Basement Wormhole
Um, yeah, we’ve seen Maklo take the occasional tumble into the void. Definitely not intended. Barriers and placement restrictions are on the way to prevent workers from falling into the abyss
Unpacking Crates & Placement Glitches
Yeah, this might have been more of the second issue. Items pop up where you craft them (normally). However, we'll also work on some stuff to let you quickly unpack stuff in succession without having to do all this clicking.
Camera Zoom & Deck Controls
We’ve heard this from quite a few players, and you’re not alone. The camera system and input handling (especially on Deck) are being refined; more intuitive controls are being worked on as part of our quality-of-life pass leading up to Early Access.
In the meantime, you can check out Devlog #3 for more details on all of this. The game is not fully done yet, and we are reading all of your feedback and taking notes (even if you don't see us replying everywhere)
