Just to clarify: seeing high GPU usage (like 95%+) isn’t necessarily a sign of something going wrong. The demo currently runs with an uncapped framerate by default, so your GPU will push as hard as it can, even with simpler hotel layouts. This is expected behavior, especially on high-end cards.
That said, we’re planning to set a default framerate cap (likely 60FPS) for the Early Access release, or at least make those options more visible in the settings. That should help keep things quieter on most setups where harnessing all this power is a bit much.
Of course, we’re also actively working on performance improvements across the board so that less power is needed to run the game in the first place
As for stuttering: that’s often related to shader compilation, particularly when using Vulkan. DirectX tends to be smoother in that regard, so if you’re running into heavy shader hitches, it may be worth switching renderers in the launch options.
Overall though, yes, more improvements shall come!
