No way to save the demo? Plus a bug and feedback
The progress indicator for clearing the blockage never went away, even though the task was completed. My workers continued to work at it until I moved them away. They seemed to ignore it after that, but it remained in place, so after a good 30-45 minutes I decided to exit to the main menu then go back into my hotel to see if that cleared the bug.

I couldn't find a save feature before exiting to the main menu, so I assumed (incorrectly!) that there was a simple auto save enabled. Unfortunately, all my progress was lost and I had to start over. It wasn't the end of the world, but... no save? Really? The demo took over an hour to complete, and some people don't necessary have time to play for that long in one sitting. I didn't. I had to walk away from my second play and leave my computer running (wasting energy) while I attended a family function so I wouldn't have to restart again.

I see I'm not the only one who has experienced the job progress bug. It didn't happen on my next play.

This is a really cute game and it shows great progress. In the demo it would have been nice to know if I would be able to delete or move rooms around eventually (I didn't like where I placed them the first time), or automate certain tasks like washing laundry, since I'm not too fond of that level of micro-management. I would have liked the option to keep playing the demo longer even though new features weren't unlocking. A little pop-up telling me what features aren't included in the demo and asking if I would like to continue playing for a bit would have been really nice.

Thank you for the free demo. They are one of my main ways to find new games to buy.

I agree, a save feature is critical, even in a demo. A lot of people also expect the time they invest in a demo to transfer over to their purchased game.

Also, please don't make assumptions on how people play, even in the demo. According to Steam, I played for 2.6 hours. I had to go, and with no save feature all of my work was lost - which makes me not want to try again. I suspect you are asking, "You played for two and a half hours, isn't that enough?" It really depends on how you play; for me, even with that amount of time, I had not yet opened the hotel to guests. I was exploring the hotel construction element far more than what was the minimum for the tutorial - the element that I was most interested in with the game. So yeah, a save feature would have been very, very useful and allow me to explore all of the elements more fully - something that the developers should want and support, since that is how you convince a player to purchase the full game.

I agree, i was running into a bug, why my workers stuck in with the radio, even when i packed it in. I thought, a reload my help... just to be suprised with a no save game in the demo.

Game looks promising, will try the demo again after a update.
Yeah I got the job progress bug too on a meal. also generally the tutorial got way out of sync with what was happening in the hotel.
Overall the games just feels a bit janky to me, like I'm constantly being pulled in different directions instead of just letting me play.

Played after the June 5th Update:
  • Buying the Seeds as it is now seems to be a trap, you have to constantly water them and take care of them and at some point all most workers do seems to be picking up berries/grapes and taking them with the elevator down to the kitchen. (the kitchen should be near the dining room tbh, best between garden and dining room)
  • For some reason they stopped doing cleaning duty like changing beds or cleaning dining room tables for days - even though they were prioritized red - till all the berries and stuff were in the kitchen. (didn't even know you could clean tables till I wanted to check why there are moths flying around them)
  • There was food litter stuck behind one of the tables that was hard to reach/click.
  • Guests wait at the dining table for their order to be taken or food to arrive for in-game days till all their needs bars are empty or the ship comes to take them back, not sure that's how it is supposed to work.
  • Workers seem to work non-stop to exhaustion with all their needs bar on empty, not sure that's how that is supposed to work either.

Ironically, the updated game features save.. but on my game.. it freezes. It loads nothing. It just gets stuck in the loading screen forever XD

Plenty of fixes went through to stabilize the save system. Let us know if you still run into any issues on the current demo build.
