Repair kit not working?

Loving the game so far, I've been super excited for this to launch!

I've got to the "science of slime" section and need to place the repair kit but I can't place the kit anywhere , it just keeps telling me "not connected" the room is unblocked and characters are walking in there.... am I missing something or should this be able to be placed somewhere / anywhere?

If I understand correctly what you mean, then it needs to be connected to the slime pipes

Hi, thanks for the reply, i wrote this after coming off the game. Just reloaded the game and its the "research station" that I can't place. Every other room it says invalid target room but I can't place it in the room it's meant to go in either as it just says not connected? I've tried putting it on every available space in the room but it just cant be put anywhere which is bizarre!
