not playable
I was really looking forward to playing the game, which is why I bought it despite the price. However, at the moment it is not playable. Save files don't load, Marietta's ship is not leaving, therefore no new guests arrive, the guests don't check out when they should but go to the restaurant instead, guests gather at the taxi but nothing happens, workers do not fulfill their job...
I tried multiple ways to play the game. Start again, have multiple files I can load when a bug happens, but it's just exhausting and no fun at all because there is always a new bug. I'm scared that the developers might abandon the game as they did in the past and just scammed us with their beautiful and fun demo and I paid 30€ for a game that does not work at all.

It is playable, but it is buggy. I'm on Day 40, myself, and the devs are extremely responsive to bugs. Report the issues you're having, give them time to fix it, and don't fall in with the crowd of "oh, they might abandon the game" because it's not true, and it's extremely harmful to a small studio. To be clear, the devs have responded to that exact "issue" several times. Here is their response:

"In December, we released Glorious Companions 1.0, a side project that had been on hold for six years. When we finally found the time and resources, we decided not to leave it unfinished. This was handled by a separate team, and the Hotel Galactic team was focused on their project. We had no major expectations for this title, as it was a six-year-old Early Access project that hadn’t been in active production for quite some time. Still, we chose to rework and finish it. There is no support here, as the game has no funding or team to work on it. This game should also get more time in the oven - but it was a small project we just wanted to finish, and the change was MASSIVE since EA.

About a year ago, we published Blockbuster Inc., but it's important to note that this is not our game. We were only involved as the publisher. We don’t work with Unreal, and after the release, Super Sly Fox decided to move on, and our Unity team was not able to save this project. Like many others, we had hoped this game would become a true spiritual successor to The Movies.

Hotel Galactic is our only major self-developed release in years, with our full team focused on it from the beginning.

*As for The Tenants, all decisions regarding that title currently lie with the publisher. We will regain the rights to the game at some point in the future."
