It helps that I personally like the block knife as probably my favourite single target melee weapon too, I even use it on vanguard and tactical. Not great at crowds but can deal great single target damage.
I also run block. It's satisfying when you learn the timings and sekiro enemies into shambles. The fact it is mainly single target focused becomes balanced out by the constant AoE burst you do to enemies around you as you gain 2 charges and release. Very satisfying.
I also forgot about the fact you can carry melta and drop one every 30 seconds and erase whatever is bothering you. Great class. Very slept on.
I do not like popping chaos heads as the hoods of their armor are hungry for bullets, and the blobs are jittery.
I think my favorite build on sniper is the shadow blade.
Along with equipment every 30 seconds.
Cloak up. Charge. Stab and delete something. Drop a melta. Repeat.
The heroic power fist and heavy bolt pistol in tandem with the team perk for 30% gun strike damage is some of the most disgusting reset kill flow states you can commit to when dealing with armies of majoris.
When the game was launched assault had such a fine line between doing good and dead with very little wiggle room in-between. That element of danger was exciting. It's a lot better now, thankfully, with defense mechanism perk and a good contested health recovery secondary.
Every class is cool and I really don't understand people who only play one.
Also, I don't like bad snipers, but only 2-3 of 10 are really good.
a fleeing biovore getting grapnel'd before it can get far is always a sight or even just flying into a terminator to stop it's guns.
In seiges, when you get swarmed you're stomping, executing, and melting in this combat flow that is so satisfying
