I realise the chances of this happening with DQ2 are minimal, but this game would be a great fit for the Steam Deck. And it is so nearly functional!

It launches just fine but then keeps tripping itself up in controller recognition. Half the time it thinks it's a Steam Controller, half the time it only recognises touch input. Changing the controller option in the settings doesn't work as the game keeps resetting it (I'd guess some auto-detect logic going wrong?) and is prone to crashing the game.

Changing the controller layout doesn't seem to help - I'm pretty sure it's the game's controller auto-detection which is causing problems. If anyone has found a workaround, I'd love to know! For reference, I was running the Deluxe (not Legacy) version.

Otherwise I'll just have to pin more hopes on DQ2 I guess :-)
