Missing executable on Linux
Hi, after today’s update when I try to play the game on Linux it says "Missing executable" (deluxe version).

I can however start the game from a terminal and it runs fine.

I'm having the same issue. I tried validating my download, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling it, but still getting this message.

To play the game until this is fixed:
- right click on the game in your library and select "Properties"
- click on the "Local files" tab
- click "Browse local files"
- in the file browser that opened, open the "deluxe" directory
- run the "DefendersQuest" executable.

Thanks, this does atleast make it playable, but I also wanted to see if the most recent update fixed a separte issue with the steam controller not working correcly under Linux. Loading it this way makes the steam controller use the config for desktop controls, and doesn't even try loading the config for the game, because there is no overlay running. I guess I'll just have to wait for another update before trying to use the steam controller.

I have the same bug. On the other hand with the workaround write by stan I can start the deluxe version but the game crash before starting the first battle.

I play on Ubuntu Linux 16.04 in a computer with the following specifications: Intel 6500, Nvidia 1060 gtx (propietary driver v367.57) and 16GB RAM

You can try starting it from Steam instead, that could help since the game would use the Steam runtime (a different set of libraries).

You can do this by adding the DefendersQuest binary as a non-Steam game (using the "Add a game…" link in the bottom-left hand corner of Steam’s window).

PS: that applies for both ben914 and Odin :).
