Welcome! (FAQ included)
Hey all,

I'm Danne, GA at OVERKILL, and I am taking care of the ‘Suggestions & Feedback’ subforum. This means that you will be seeing me here quite a bit answering any questions you have, picking up any feedback or suggestions you might have and passing it along as well as sharing information regarding potential changes to gameplay.

My vision for this subforum is simple, I would like you - the community - to be more involved with the development of PD2 in various ways and this is what I’d like to see here:

  • Feedback on current features that might be good, not good enough and how we can improve them to be good enough. (It’s great for us to know when we have done something you enjoy as well as when we have done something you don’t enjoy.
  • Major ideas and features you believe would improve the experience for PD2 players.
  • Minor suggestions regarding various topics

Here are some general topics to get you started with:

  • Heister related (names, stories, personalities, etc.)
  • Heist related (locations, special encounters, settings, etc)
  • Skills related (current skills, new skills, old skills, etc.)
  • Feature related (driving, interactables, mini-games, etc.)
  • Progression related (infamy, unlockables, etc.)
  • Safehouse related (vanity, etc.)

Any suggestions are welcome, even though I cannot guarantee they will be implemented.

Rules

Same rules apply here as the rest of the forum so please use common sense when posting here.

In here we have a relatively low tolerance of trollposts, flamebaiting, derailing and such for the simple reason that I want this to be a place where we can have mature discussions and feedback without disruptive behaviour. This is not a place to vent rage or frustration, please take a 5 min cool-off period before posting here so that we can properly take a look at the potential issue at hand. Posts that stray off topic (or attempts to de-rail a thread) too much nets you a warning. If you still don't stay on topic, removal of your posts + a 24h ban.

I will be giving out a warning to any people breaking these rules before issuing bans (length depends on infraction).

These rules are there to keep the suggestions and feedback subforum clean, tidy and with relevant posts (since we need to quickly be able to absorb suggestions or feedback you guys might have without potentially having to sift through pages of unrelated content).

Also, please refrain from creating threads such as "what new weapon would you like to see" or other similar threads as they are more suited in general discussions rather than the suggestions & feedback subforum as we want real suggestions/feedback and not discussions regarding suggestions/feedback.

FAQ

Q: How will this process work? Will all suggestions and feedback be implemented?
A: No, this means that the suggestions and feedback you post here will be reviewed by me or another member of staff. Once that has been done, we will have discussions internally with the people responsible for said feature and it is during this discussion that we will decide whether we will proceed with the idea or not.

Q: How will you have time to review everything we write?
A: As you may have noticed, we have quite a few people in the PD2 community and taking everyones feedback into account would take too much time and create an endless black hole for me. I will focus on “hot” posts that have alot of responses (positive or negative) or keep getting bumped up and chime in whenever I have time. And like I mentioned, since there are so many voices in this community, what you think is a great idea might be something that completely ruins the gameplay for someone else. This explains why some things might need to be reviewed for a longer period of time.

Q: What type of ideas would you like to see?
A: PD2 is a living product which means that if there is a change that will greatly benefit PD2, then it will be considered. Then there is are the "effort vs reward" and "does it fit our schedule?" points that are brought up when discussing internally. This means that simple changes that improve the life for the most people have the biggest chances of being approved and implemented.

Thanks!

Don't worry about it, I'm seasoned in this forum. =)
I thought of suggesting this to the mods, but I'd very much like to see some kind of feedback loop in this forum, alongside an updated list of rejected/popular/considering/accepted suggestions that we can check every time we need to. In my opinion this would greatly contribute to the quality of suggestions/feedback provided, as it would prevent a lot of duplicate/improper/already rejected content from being posted (and read) over and over again. I almost volunteered to do it a few times, but I was not sure how it would be received by the staff.

Independently of the above, thank you and I hope you have a good time here ;)

Well I guess I now have to go through my old mega list of ideas

I guess that explains why I've been seeing you around here recently. Happy to hear that there's now a dedicated guy watching the suggestions. Sometimes it felt pretty futile making suggestions when it didn't seem like anyone ever really checked them, so it's really nice to see this.

What Blue Screen of Death said would be nice- if there was some sort of pinned thread that kept track of suggestions you guys were considering like there is for the bug reporting subforum.

Just throwing this out there as a heist suggestion, a mint. I had a thread lying around somewhere, but bumping it is against the rules, so I'll just leave that there.

Hey then could you answer I've had a question about lmg iron sights since the dawn of time are there any plans to add them? Could you at least consider them? I've wanted them also since the dawn of time

Hey Danne, are you a new staff here?
Because I didn't see you until the last few weeks.

Not new, been here for more than 3 years but I've always been lurking. I've been posting but not regularly.

This is something I can bring up, but I don't think we have any plans as of now to add iron sights to LMG's due to bipods.
