Please add a 64bit version
After hearing the notice of extended support for payday 2 the first thing that comes to my mind is this one.

Adding a 64 bit version would solve some problems of this game like the crashes due the memory cap of 32 bits.

This has been asked many times and I don't think Starbreeze is even willing to do it at all as converting the whole game from 32-bit to 64-bit is a real hassle (and they probably view it as something they won't benefit from).

Even if we have that one small update rumored to come out, don't get your hopes up.

Yes I know, but it would be awesome if they do.
The now abandoned version for Linux was 64 bit but they did it in a janky way as I understand it so it wasn't so great. The best 64bit version would have been the work done for RAID WW2 which started off with the same PD2 engine base and forked from it. They rebuilt it to be 64bit and allow for the larger and busier maps it had without it crashing non stop from low memory limitations. It'd maybe be the best start to work on it if they wanted to remaster it that way. Of course now they'd also have to roll in all the updates and changes they've done to the game since then too but with all the content and reworking required I guess it wouldn't matter much to the overall workload if the miracle happened...
