Local split-screen layout
For starters: Cool game. Very nice artwork and sound design, tight enough controls, and I can see a lot of potential and knew that as an "early adopter" there would be some kinks to work out. One of them I did not expect, though, was the very bizarre method in which two-player split screen has been implemented. Rather than give my playmate and I half a screen each, we are given a QUARTER of a screen each in an assumed expecation that two more people will be joining in, I assume. Having a perpetual "map" in the lower screen is not exactly necessary and the map itself is not all that informative in the first place. I appreciate the option being there, but I know it has nothing to do with a mandatory 4:3 resolution for the game or anything like that since when you play solo the entire screen is filled with no minimap.

I really think the game would benefit from a customizable split screen, or doing away with the fragmentation altogether so that when I play with a friend we can just have a regular split screen so I don't have to strain my eyes on two quarter-sized boxes. I already don't have the best eyesight so I found it honestly very straining and exhausting to focus on my character that way.

Great work so far otherwise, and I hope to see it grow further.

Same here. I don't really understand why a quarter of screen instead of just half of it if it's only two players playing.

For me it'd be even better if the local multiplayer would just share the same screen for both players.

There is definitely a big waste of screen space in local two-player mode currently.
