Am i the only one that started to HATE this game?
To start things, I'm not saying the game is bad, I'm not saying the game is good, that is for each person to decide, just wanted to get that out of the way first.

Now, the first time i saw this game on youtube I was amazed by it, bought it, played it, (I must say i have 18 hours in-game, ik that's really not a lot) stopped playing it because i got bored of it.
For the past few days I went on a nostalgia trip so to call it. I would play all the games that i once loved. Chivalry was/is still one of them. I have noticed something tho.
Idk if it's just me but the combat is so much worse than i remember. It used to be intense, with really nice, mostly fair fights, fights where skill would matter more than weapon or class, which is something i praised the game for. Now, all i see are knights that just equip the best sword and start dancing around while swinging like crazy. Now please, tell me how the hell can that be fun?
Where is the amazing gameplay the game once used to have? There are no more interesting fights, what the combat has come down to is whoever gets to spam Lclick faster and moves more like a spastic, wins. This is disgusting.
I understand the game mechanics, I used to be good at game, fair enough, i haven't really played it in a long time and obvs I'm not as good but i do remember how fun it used to be.
Where is that fun? Why has this turned into this huge rage fest? (people trying to kick other people non-stop and insane amounts of INTENTIONAL teamkilling) And does anyone else see things this way or did i just get completly crap at the game and can't remember the spastic knights from some time ago.

Good @ chivalry = Ur a masochist

It takes a special kind of gimp to endure the hours of anal penetration needed to get good. And then when you think you may have gotten good, you find out you're really not lol I love this game!
Eventually, after your rectum is completely rekt, you'll be able to start filtering the spastics and only see what counts. But if your dirt-track is too sensitive or shallow, just smurf low level servers and have fun! Bad chivalry is better than no chivalry.

How the chivalry gameplay is: from rank 0-5 you are learning the game mechanics. From 5-10 you are starting to get used to a class and you are good enough with that class to achieve a few kills per match. From 10-15 you can play well enough with every class. This takes about 15 hours of gameplay, hours of fun (more or less) but then the game throws you off the low-rank servers and you see yourself fighting rank 60 people doing weird movements that you cant parry and magically parryng all your attacks

exactly,and then coming back to it as a higher level after a year is worse, i prefer the slow paced action and i bought it for that reason when it first came out,when i last jumped on it, people were bending around spazzing everywhere, i just turned it off and uninstalled, i was actually on these forums to see had it changed much, i guess it didnt.

I feeel u bro, starting the game can kinda be boring too because of games like free-for-all where there is no stopping peaple from easly stealing you and your "kill" or other new players hitting you
not knowing there "is freindly fire"

You dont like the game because you arent good, im not either, and I have 389 hours. The game is still intense and fun but you just dont know the mechanics so you immediatly die. All of the spinning, dancing, and dragging is high level skill , the game is fun when you kill level 40-60s as a level 30 or so. I hate to say it but until you are level 35 you will not be good at the game in the slightest. If youd like I can show you a bit of the mechanics to help you out

Well, if being good means having to do all of that then I'm accepting the fact that I'm crap and can't do any good in high level games. That, however, does not change my opinion, acting like a spastic and throwing your mouse around to hit someone in the first second that your strike registers is not fun, at least not for me. A game like this should be focused on timing and attention, not becoming a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beyblade.

Right here is the reason why I stopped bothering with this game. Once the devs outright said that it's intended to be able to swing faster than the animations allow; that's the moment when I knew this game isn't ever going to get better.

I feel the same about it... Low rank servers were amazing gameplay, "high skill moves" just ruin the game... Its so unrealistic and frustrating. Kills the game for me, and most of all, it kills the atmosphere Chivalry used to have for me when I started playing it first. If it were possible to smurf without having to buy the game anew all the time Id definitely do that.

or get your ass handed to you in high level servers when your new. i always play the hardest difficulty i can because trial by fire teachs so much more than hand holding.
