Anyone got a few optimization tips for me?
I had some performance issues with Chivalry, so now I run it with characters, textures and details set to medium and everything else off or low (except vertical sync, can't get over that screen tearing). My PC is by no means a high end system however I feel it should be able to run Chivalry in better quality.

So my questions are: Does anybody know which video options are least demanding for the system, while still making a visual difference? Are there other possibilities to improve performance by editing some files and deactivate unnecessary stuff?

my friend plays with lowest possible settings and says that's not much of a difference (in quality)

I don't know if this is possible, but most games have a great improvement if you set off shadows.

Try to set the UDK.exe in your NVidia Control Panel if you had such a graphic card.
That helps me. Before that, the CPU has to manage the GPU work and FPS are drop down every Match. (excuse the horrible english ;) )

Nope, I've got an ATI card. Also I wouldn't like to mess with the general graphic card settings since some of the games I play really don't like that.

Just type 'scale lowend' in the console. Then adjust your screen resolution.

It helped me a lot, the lag is gone.
