AoE 3-4 sucked donkey .......
i wish more people got over their microtransaction modern games and rediscovered this perfectly balanced gem
AoE 2 is more popular than ever before, but obviously not HD Edition.
probably more people play age of empires mobile or whatever the newest thing for sale is, but 1.6 can be played from CD on Voobly.com for free, if you get banned you can make another account and play for free. After getting banned after walling the map in half in DE (because they deny it had anything to do with AOE4 leak drama in my Eve Online corp) I don't have to worry about buying a game I won't be able to play as long as I stay away from DE or modern scams. AOE2, the kind you can play from a disc on PC (and even PS2 with local multiplayer) is the real definitive edition.
support for HD edition, such as the so-called "third-party" site aoe2.net being pulled to sell more copies of DE doesn't at all take away from or change the game that "HD" was based on.
-Yeah it's amazing how popular Age II DE is.
Wdym? That's a bug.
You don't get banned for walling the map. Stop keeping that narrative.
You'd only get banned for repeated griefing behaviour.
