Enemy resignation
Will there be a fix to keep the enemy from resigning? It's extremely unrewarding when you spend an hour or so engaging an enemy only to have him resign when you start hammering his camp.

I noticed that as well. Immediatly reminded me of playing with a sore looser human. I just got my arse kicked in hard, but fought to the last man!

Well some times you would rather they resign. Yes you would love the satisfaction of destroying there entire town to rubble but it does take up a good amount of time. In 1 v 1 if the victor is clear might as well resign because it is unlikely that you will be able to rebuild and instead of sending a villager to each corner to annoy your opponent and wasting time. However in team games you will get the satisfaction because they will most likely try to rebuild if there team still has a chance of winning.

Whoops my bad haha

I was referring to the comp player resigning. The old AOK had a bug fix that made the comp enemy ask you if he could resign. If you chose "no", then he would keep fighting until every one of his people were dead. As it is now he just resigns.

Yeah I ran into that problem too. Also it doesnt allow you to look over your destruction on the map after the battle either, it's straight to the score board without the option to view the map. Not to mention I didnt have enough time to read my achievements either! "Oh look I got some achievements for the opponent resigning... oh they're gone and now I'm at the score screen."
Btw Dalv, there are no AI's in the Community Workshop at this point in time.

If you were forced to fight on surely people would just make use of the delete button no?

AI players will resign when they have 0-1 villager(s), as long as the game has gone on for at least ten minutes. If you dont want them to resign dont slaughter all them poor villies trying to repair the hole you made in their wall

Sorry for the ancient bump, guys, but I figured it would be better to reply to the right topic than create a new one.

I'd also like to see an option to prevent the AI from resigning in multiplayer games, which in turn would require the other players to "defeat" the enemy AI. I agree with xwabodj that it would be ideal to have this as configurable OPTION in the game setup, as it's the ONLY thing I'd want changed; I already like how the current AI is established by the dev team, so I'd rather not swap out AIs entirely.

I've tried looking into creating a workshop mod for this, but I can't find the right file to change their behavior. As of this writing there are several .per and .drs files that make reference to the "resign" action by the AI, but none of them seem to prevent resignation still. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Hello shamu is dead, i implemented such an option in the AI code itself.
Just tick these boxes for every AI you want to keep from resigning (http://i.imgur.com/2zLoITt.png) and then chat those AIs the number 100. If you want them to be able to resign again then send those AIs the number 101.

I hope that helps!

I tried to play with enemy AI's longplay before resigning, but they resigned early, could it be a problem?
