Steam Link mouse hover using external monitor
Hi! I'm using the Steam Link app on Pop OS to play on a debian computer on my local network. This had worked fine for a number of days, but now I have a strange issue where mouse hover events don't work until another input (scroll, click, keyboard) is sent. Additionally, this only occurs when an external monitor is plugged in. This seems to happen no matter if I mirror displays, only use the built-in display of my laptop, or only the external display. However, if I have another window focused, mouse hover events work in the Steam Link window, and they stop working again once the window is focused.

I can't think of anything that changed between it working and not working. In fact, it happened while in-game, all of a sudden.

Anyone else experience this?

The remote session controls behave the same as well.

It's pretty unusable like this. I also can't drag windows in desktop mode because of this. The desktop environment on the remote is xfce. I have reinstalled and purged steam data on the remote system, and I have reinstalled the steam link app on the local system, but with no luck.

More strange findings is that mouse movement works fine for, for example, looking around in a game, but when you enter the inventory it does not update until you click.

This happens in some games but not others. A good reference is TF2, where menu tooltips and highlighting doesn't work, but aiming is fine.
