Trash FPS in Doom Ultimate [Linux Mint]
We are talking FPS dips as low as 3FPS in dosBox. Anyone know how I can best remedy this. I am not using any mods.

My laptop is quite dated but I wouldn't say it's complete trash. Here's my copy pasted system info:

Intel© Core™ i7-3520M CPU @ 2.90GHz
NVIDIA Corporation GF108M [GeForce GT 630M]
4.15.0-38-generic

I'm not a technical user, can anyone help me out? Just want to play 90's dos games. Thanks.

Please paste the Steam system information here (Go to the Steam Help menu. Pick System Information.) You might be using the wrong nvidia driver - or integrated graphics, if this CPU has such.

This means you're indeed running on Intel graphics. I don't know much about hybrid graphics, someone needs to chime in here.
actually this is connected to mouse *polling* rate and there is a workaround. Dos games work "fine" (15-30 FPS) in intel graphics with a polling rate of 250Hz. I have reported this bug at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1534

I don't understand why they can't just put the game out in the Linux version of DOSBox for Linux users. DOSBox does build natively on Linux. Running DOSBox in Proton is basically running an emulator in an emulator.

Proton/wine is not an emulator

The problem is the wrong GPU being used. When you solved this, give Boxtron a try:
