Non-free license on Linux
As per the information in the Linux Mint app store, I noticed that it says that Steam has non-free license. So, wouldn't downloading Steam on Linux be piracy, or an illegal act?

It just means it's proprietary software, not open source (can't look at it's code).

Non-free means Steam is not free software, which means you can't freely modify and redistribute it.
