Pop up notifications glitched.
The notification pop-up that appears when starting a game or completing an achievement is glitched and shows nothing or a colorful flashing square.

I am in Kubuntu 20.04 LTS, I have the latest MESA drivers for amdgpu. I've been experiencing this as long as I've been on Kubuntu, On Pop!_OS (which uses GNOME instead of KDE as a desktop envoriment) I haven't had this issue.

Am I missing something? Is this a known issue with a fix? Thanks!

did you try other KDE distros like KDE Neon or just Kubuntu?

as much as people love it, Kubuntu has its quirks, and it's not always just because of KDE itself but because of the way it's used in that particular distro

No, I'm relatively new to Linux. Kubuntu has been my first experience with KDE. (So far I had only been in GNOME)

It's just a really minor visual glitch, so far I'm really pleased with linux. I just wanted to ask if it was something common since I couldn't fing anything on the internet

i've never seen this bug description here in the forum, but maybe it's already been reported to Valve linux devs at their official bug tracker here:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues

if not, you can open a new issue yourself, and there will be a template with step-by-step instructions to detailing the new issue there in a way that makes it easier for the devs to work on it efficiently
