Steam for Linux

Steam for Linux

OpenGL GLX context is not using direct rendering
I can't figure out how to fix this, and I really want to be able to. I'm on Ubuntu 14.10 using an AMD Radeon R9 270x. Any help is appreciated.

Put this into a shell script or simply run it in a terminal:
rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 \ ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgcc_s.so.1 \ ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgcc_s.so.1 \ ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 \ ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libxcb.so.1
The steam runtime is still not compatible with newer distros.
