NVidia GLVND
I came across something new regarding the latest nvidia drivers 361.28
http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/98373

It mention something about support for GLVND and that the legacy non-GLVND was default when installing the drivers.

In regards to gaming, which is preffered, GLVND or non-GLVND?

Currently, the GLVND Version has some problems. It's more experimental and causes some games to not launch (e.g. Magicka 2, since they rely on some error-handling in the driver (that's not contained in GLVND)).

It seems like GLVND will become default from version 364.x of the nvidia driver.
