White rectangles where text of all kind should be.
Hello!

I have run into an issue while trying to play Artifact.

While the game launches like it should, every single "space" where text should be is replaced with white rectangles (Here's an image of that happening on what I can just assume is the graphics options https://i.imgur.com/TBuxQPM.png).

I'm running on Kubuntu 18.04 with Intel HD 4000 / Intel Core i7-3632QM @ 8x 3.2GHz (It is a laptop, the HP envy M4)

Trying random things to fix it, first I tried running it with the script it comes with inside ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Artifact/game/artifact.sh which launches the game (though in black screen only but with sound) while also throwing me the error: failed to dlopen "/home/miguel/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Artifact/game/bin/linuxsteamrt64/librenderdoc.so" error=/home/miguel/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Artifact/game/bin/linuxsteamrt64/librenderdoc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (full log in https://pastebin.com/CALNHvgg NOTE: take in count that I already tried to edit the 41-* by separating the tags <test>)

Hoping to find a lead to solving this issue and if not being able to add info for possible similar cases.

Thanks.

I also have this issue, I got one step further by being able to run from command line by appending ' -vulkan' -> this starts the game in the same way as steam does but you still get the white rectangles. Unfortunately no useful error messages are printed in the terminal....

Same here. Intel Core i7 - 3630QM. Ubuntu 18.04. Installed a bunch of fonts, didn't help at all.

I refunded Artifact but I believe It might be a compatibility issue with Vulkan version 1.0 (the one that Ivy bridge barely manages to support in my case). Before contacting support I ran the runner script with Vulkan forced and the error message was specificaly mentioning Ivy bridge's lack of decent support.
