This wish option is a good idea for the devs to keep on the market scores for linux if ported , and yes we linux users are unlike windows users when it comes to early access, because with windows users they will be soo touchy when it comes to problems in early access , but for us we can tolerate and help fix . =)
; ur right about the votes :D
ill be taking care of every family members account to make sure i get through with atleast 5 to 10 votes =)) got all my devices on dual boots
have an option later beside it showing > if u like to donate for the cause = $ 0.00
+10
i guess the more simple way is a wish option and donating for the cause like warning | kgb mentioned.
Collecting overrall linux purchases around steam scores in total.
using these scores to push the votes for the option ( Wishes Game to be Ported for SteamOS/Linux)
-
The total percentage of purchases through the linux platform in total ( divide by / the wishes to be ported users scores that is = determined by the game overrall purchases in windows / divide
*over / the windows users overrall percentage in total for the specific game.
Results in percentage will be a probability ratio of a buy if this game is released for Linux
The dev can be more motivated this way =)
sry if i didnt make any sense i wanted to write it down with formula lettering and numbers but this will be more confusing for others who have bad maths
It depends, and they might be interested if there's relatively big demand or a low one...
i believe we are atleast 3 to 8% , one example my cousins who still study in the university run a gnome environment whenever they have some assignments to work on and researching websites and flooding their workspaces. however they dual boot windows whenever its time to game and they wish they didnt have to restart for a break.
Surely not all games will be ported but im seeing great progress=)
world is changing , all the knowledge i help people on about and when memory starts to fade on me and i ask them back it doesnt come back the same way you helped them out.
My worse encounters are from new people who writes down *tutorials* rephrasing the original tutorial with a complextion of an "ab-nerd langauge" that is very hard for me to follow and surprisingly it makes sense for the people around him and when they try to explain it in most cases after a help request from a senior they diss him up with a slam dunk and wasting time.
i always have the decency to rephrase the ab-nerd language of information that i tend to pass by so people with zero computer knowledge can follow , ive had feedback whenever im linking them with an op post in xda , 95% from the people i meet around work / coffee shops and all around will stop or turn away from those red scary letters and hard to follow explanations and warnings that they dont get what most keyterms mean as well.
i like breaking the barial of tough space-shuttle langauge to writing those steps with simplicity that can motivate people with a push to the space of knowledge. Thats how the past was when information was so intimidating for us to learn :) .

like the joker says when u have something u dont know what to do about it ,u just do things, and peoples character just do.
Thank you all for sharing the world of linux with love , lets not lose hope for this request , this can be implemented if steam-devs take a look and think this through with such algorithm that can have a motivated impact to a game developer.
Well, let me give linux steam *users* a suggestion while VALVE doesn't implement this.
I've just figured out I could label games on the store, not just the ones on the library... So I started tagging games I would buy if they were ported to linux with a custom tag: "Waiting for Linux version".
If done by enough people always with the same spelling, it just might start showing up on the Stem Store as a frequent tag, and that in itself would be a great sign for devs and for VALVE.
Also, its something that depends on us exclusively, so we can start doing it whenever we like.
Just remember it only works if everyone writes it identically so we need to define a standard tag... do you like "Waiting for Linux version" or does anyone have a better one (or knows one already in use)?
Thanks for the link!
I found "no Tux, no Bux" a little too aggressive, though...
I for one believe our tone matters at least a little when devs are reviewing their options about having a game ported to linux.
