Painting the map
So how do you play? Paint the whole map or just do things you want to in each map and ignore the rest? I tried both and I paint the whole map because I found I get to key chapters underpowered i.e. Mulahey at level 1/2. If I paint maps/grind I get to Mulahey level 2/3 which for me is more manageable. Then you get to the bandit camp around level 4/5 if you do everything south of the Friendly Arm. Ok, so you are slightly overpowered for the bandit camp at that point because it's no longer an "epic" battle..more a massacre. But...I prefer things slightly easy than frustratingly hard. Plus OCD. :steamhappy:

I am a completionist junkie who loves the exploration aspect to games. Having areas hidden by darkness makes me want to uncover those areas, and it often bothers me when I am not allowed to do this.
I need to uncover every part of the map that's possible. It's an OCD thing... The devs wanted us to use the spells available in the game to uncover map areas that are out of bounds. It's actually spell mechanic inherit in the game. So that too is a factor.
