Caelar and the Party

So, a general question which may be answered too late to matter:

Different guides mention the option of allying with Caelar (she does her own thing) or adding her to your party (meaning having only 5 party members in Avernus.) Which of these is a better idea? And why?

Well, when she becomes a temporary companion, PLAYER can control her yourself during the final fight, which can be an advantage compared with her becoming an allied NPC with AI behavior. However, since all of that happens so late during the expansion, it doesn't interest me that much anymore.
