Linux version?
I was wondering if we're going to see this game make it's way to Linux some day?

It's unlikely. Porting the game to e.g. Mac or Linux takes resources, i.e. both money and time that could also be spent on something else. If those resources are put to Mac/Linux port, the sales should recompense that loss of resources. As it is, we doubt that we'd sell quite that many copies of Mac or Linux version to make the port worth it.
However, things may change! We're not against Mac/Linux versions out of principle, so if we're confident that we won't take a hit, ports are definitely a possibility :)

We plan to expand the game after its official launch. We want to keep working on our baby, even when it's "finished".

As for Linux players, yeah, we know that Linux is somewhat on the rise. However, even if 1.16% of Steam install base are Linux players, not nearly all of them would want to play Wreckfest, and that number of potential buyers is the bottom line :)
Mind you, we're not against Linux just out of spite. We just can't invest time and effort on something that's not beneficial to us. We just can't. To do stuff like that would definitely be cool and just, but it would also be a policy that would sink a small company like us.

People have been starting to migrate towards Linux, and other OS alternatives, because they're tired of Windows' BS. Thus the desire for more games that support the OS they're using.

Yep. Steam just made some partnerships. If it works out, Steam could very well take away a big chunk of gaming from MicroSoft. Below are a few excerpts from a 'PC World' article I read about 7 to 10 days ago...

Valve is making Steam its own OS, spreading into hardware from partners like Lenovo and Asus, and I think it has a legitimate shot at dethroning Windows as the home of PC gaming. To say nothing of trends that let you access your games anywhere, including Nvidia’s cloud-powered GeForce Now (which plays my Steam games!) and Microsoft’s own Xbox Game Pass streaming. I’ve used both of them on the go, enjoyably if far less smoothly than on my fancy-pants desktop at home, and been keenly aware of their platform-agnostic nature.

I played the PC version of Fortnite, complete with mouse and keyboard, by using my Samsung phone’s DeX desktop mode, a USB-C monitor, and GeForce Now. ... This newfound freedom is liberating ... I could even see myself trying out Linux on the desktop, though I confess I’d probably keep it dual-booting at first. And maybe using SteamOS or a derivative like Bazzite, just to satiate my degenerate gaming needs.

tbf it works great on Deck (which runs Arch Linux), and works great generally via Proton:

I mean, its not _native_ linux - but it does run great on linux...
