Wow, thank you Doctarock. Reading this genuinely means a lot to the team (and to me personally).
It isn't always easy to sift through the fire to find those 'crumbs of feedback,' as you perfectly put it, but we do it because we believe in the game and we know that a lot of that anger stems from a place of passion for the genre.
As a fellow dev, you know the drill: Early Access is a marathon, not a sprint. Having people like you notice the human effort behind the screen is a huge morale booster.
Thanks for keeping an eye on us!
FunPimps are devs that did not treat their community very well.
The FunPimps are slow to deliver, steal from mods and don't deliver on their promises.
Because they are associated with this game people are avoiding it.
I would not buy it because I am resolved in not giving TFP my money either directly or indirectly through their IP
Its a different game and im enjoying it.
The demo progress carries over when ya buy this hidden gem.
Thanks Warren, we really appreciate the support.
everyone says everything is a bot now. Its bizarre
Hey Spookman,
Correct, I co-founded iLLOGIKA almost 17 years ago.
I didn't plan on answering questions directly on Steam post-launch, but when I saw the numbers and the comments, I coordinated with our Community Manager and decided to step in personally. The expectation was for me to answer a few questions here and there, but I chose to invest significant time here.
Why? Simply because I care. I care about the team, about the players, and about our publisher. We poured our hearts and souls into this game, and seeing it perform below our most pessimistic projections is tough. It is my duty to do everything I can to help the game perform, protect people's jobs, and protect the studio's integrity.
It has actually been a valuable learning process. I normally work on the B2B side, and aside from working the PAX booth a few times (and meeting many awesome members of the 7 Days community there), I haven't done much Community Management. Setting aside the dire situation of the game, I have genuinely enjoyed interacting with you guys, even the critical ones.
We are now working on a long-term plan that fits the current reality, with the specific intent of making the game's operation sustainable so it stays available.
(And to Frank: Beep boop. 🤖 Just kidding, definitely a human here).
I love the game and ill keep making groups and having fun.
Im buying extra copies for friends!
Yall went beyond my expectations. probably just needs some juice for more population.
amazing advert or some social media stunt maybe.
