Can the game be played with a friend?

I plan on getting this but only if there's co-op.

NGCHunter2 has Deadfall Adventures

The story mode has no coop; some Multiplayer modes can (or could, I'm unaware of the server status) be played with 2 players only, but I wouldn't recommend getting it for the MP only.
